Vasamotor Rhinitis

Hello All. I copied some information from the Astelin website. I've been looking for a solution to vasamotor rhinitis. Has anybody used Astelin? do you have any comments regarding how it works for Vasamotor Rhinitis? If you've been prescribed Astelin, could you tell me how well it has worked. HELP!

ASTELIN is the only prescription antihistamine nasal spray approved to treat symptoms caused by both seasonal allergens and environmental irritants.

ASTELIN provides relief from bothersome nasal symptoms such as congestion, itchy/runny nose, sneezing and postnasal drip due to seasonal allergens or environmental irritants.

ASTELIN is steroid-free, does not contain pseudoephedrine, and relieves your symptoms by blocking the effects of histamine — the primary cause of allergy symptoms.

ASTELIN is available by prescription only. Ask your doctor if treatment with ASTELIN may be right for you.

Re: Vasamotor Rhinitis

Yes, I use it daily. It really works quickly like within a couple of hours and clears up my sinuses/inside of nose. It's different than over the counter nasal spray that opens up the inside of your nose in 2 minutes. Over the counter sprays can cause a rebound effect which I've never noticed with Astelin. The only side effect is sometimes the inside of my nose gets dry and cracked and sometimes bleeds but I just use steam or ocean spray moisturizer.
