Undiagnosed Problem / Unsolved Symptoms

Not sure what area to place this under. looked for a category similarly titled to my subject line, feel free to administrator to move this if you prefer it elsewhere, but here goes. Any doctors reading this for fun or anyone else wanting to help:

Recent Symptoms over the past 1 month include: Chestpain/pressure on the breastbone, headaches especially when head is below the level of the heart (currently), but initially it was often and when standing as well. Almost passed out a few times now, once while eating, once while standing, once while attempting to lie down (which I have been unavailable to do now for this whole time, i sleep sitting), have felt very inoften, numbness in face while eating, and numbness in foot and shoulder while sitting. I have felt that my esophagus was constricted for five days straight and have not been able to eat, but i have had been diagnosed in recent past with esinophilic espophagitis but have avoided the food protein responsible for this for multiple months and this is not the problem currently, since i know the feeling and the cause and duration from years of past experience. Perhaps this was caused by anxiety, who knows. May not be related to other symptoms but have had eye pain in the past in my left eye, i've always tied the pain to light, wore sunglasses and a hat and it helped, and just so happens it was really bad headache all around that eye a week or two before all these other symptoms. Only reason I mention it is that I seen under a website where it said heachaches causes and symptoms to mention to someone if this specifically happens, but it didnt elaborate on why, and is probably shouldn't have been included.

Been to Emergency room a few times now and to a primary care doctor, nothing has resulted from this. a D-Dimer was negative, an echocardiogram was negative.

my heartrate has been over 100 for a while now perhaps a long while. i have been checking it while sitting in the past and sometimes it would be 115, but often normal, but i had been checking it with a pulse sports 'watch' lately and notice its always over 100 while standing, and lately been as high as 145 while walking and 100-120 sitting. some of this high heartrate was during a cold which i have just got over while editing this, much more recently seems around 110 when standing and 140ish with exercise that requires bending or lifting, 120ish when walking level ground. This paragraph is informational, but don't think anything can be made of it.

the chestpain had been directly on the breastbone and felt equally like it could be described as either coldness or pressure as much so as pain. but the initial day of these symptoms all happened at once i had 4 sharp chestpains somewhere on my chest that woke me each time, and one sharp 10 second pain upper right chest area right of breastbone nearing the shoulder area a few hours later when at work. After that day, mostly the central pressure on the breastbone. That was constant and unchanging in intensity other than that it was more intense at rest than while moving or standing. and was more intense while driving and imobile such as trying to sit still or attempting sleeping.
weirdly enough after having this chestpain for about 3 weeks straight, it went away extremely suddenly and 90 - 99% completely while attempting sleep one night when I coughed really hard a couple times that was coincidental cough from clearing my throat, not from my having any coughing as a symptom, (this was before the cold that I would get later, thank goodness, the chestpain was getting scary would have hated adding that to the cold symptoms which ended up being rough enough on their own.) It felt like the cough cleared the pain. It also felt like my chest felt funny during this, but having that pain missing is odd enough to label as funny. Sometimes it still feels like something is there occasionally but below pain level, just letting me know its there still. Also I have had night sweats every night from the first night and it seemed to have gone away with the chestpain as well, as if the nightsweats were directly related to the chestpain. I still dont feel 'right' but its nice for a symptom to be under the radar or gone.

Im at a complete loss and believe the doctor and emergency rooms have pigeonholed me into anxiety disorder and that is not the case, even though im not dumb enough to not agree/realize that you can add panic and anxiety on top of my symptoms but they are caused by having such symptoms and being worried from them. The anxiety and panic have lessened greatly now that im staying with someone during this period of time and not living by myself, that doesn't make the main symptoms any less.

Re: Undiagnosed Problem / Unsolved Symptoms

You have many of the symptoms I have had for 4 years or more, you tend to lose count. This past winter I started with another case of Bronchitis, only this time I started sleeping 16-20 hours a day. They kept asking if I was depressed. I had some of the same pain you have.

Thought it was my heart because in 2004 I had back surgery, picked up an infection and had a heart attack. My heart is fine but they could never get the heart rate down with out medication.....so they just said I was tired from the lopressor.

Well, they did a few tests and said they couldn't help me. I went back to my Pc and did something you might not want to do but I needed to go back to work. For the first time ever I cried and told him he had to help me.....he had to find what was wrong with me. So he looked patheticly at me and said he would do some more blood work.

Well, he did, he called me 4 days later to say I had Sjogren's disease and he set up an appointment with a Immunologist. Now the immunologist tells me he doesn't think the blood work is right...I don't look like someone who had Sjogren's.

He wants to do his own blood work. Okay by me. He calls 5 days later to say, yes, I have Sjogren's but his blood work also showed I had autoimmune hepatitis. This doctor went and got all my records for the last few years and my liver enzymes were consistly high. Not one of the specialist said a word regarding my liver enzymes to me..its autoimmune, my body was attacking itself.

I went to an endocrinologist for years to balance my hormones due to a hysterectomy, she did complete blood work every 6 months and didn't notice.

I now had to see a liver doctor. He doesn't think I have a liver problem but he decides the only way to know for sure is to do a liver biopsy. Guess what, I have cirrhosis. The reason why I who never slept was now sleeping all day was from the encelophphy of the liver which was affecting the brain. One perscription and my brain is functioning and I am feeling good and not sleeping all day. Not quite back but I now have 2 good doctors.

I also want you to know I am 56 years old, never much of a drinker, never smoked, worked as a hairstylist (inhaling chemicals) from 15-47 because I went form asthma to COPD, iI had to give up my career I built and loved...went back to school and a new career. So I worked all my life.

So don't let anyone tell you its not real, you know if something is wrong. Keep trying and ask your doctor or insist he do more extensive blood work and test you for Sjogren's. Now, you won't have everything I have but if you let it go on you will. Be your own advocate.
