Birth Control Pills and the Female Libido?

I took a bc called Triphasil for years, with no libido effects, then switched to Ortho Tyicyclen, and liked that I didn't break out, or gain weight, but it gradually just decimated my libido! I had bloodwork done and was told that my free testoserone was very very very very low.... likely cause by the pill being metabolized by my liver. The specialist testing me has now just switched me to the ring, since those hormones aren't metabolized by the liver.. saying that should help. Any others with similar experience? Did the ring work for you?

I don't personally have problems with sex drive and birth control. But, my best friend does. She says it's like she is Asexual on the pill. She stoped taking it and she got a nice suprise... PREGNANT! So talk to your doc and hang in there. There has to be a pill that will not have that side affect!

I was on the pill (estrostep FE) for like 3 years and i felt my sex drive deminish over a period of time and i switched to the nuvaring and now i have no sex drive WHAT SO EVER! I finally am just quiting bc all together. I think it really just depends on your body really. There is no way to tell if its going to work for you until you try.
