Welchol for high triglycerides?

Has anyone had any good results with this drug to lower triglycerides. My triglycerides were 650 seven months ago. I've gotten them down to 400 with a vege diet and fish pills. My dr. tried lovastatin 4 months ago, but it raised my liver numbers. He wants me to try the Welchol now. He said it won't effect my liver. I also have severe back problems and I've been reading that some people have been having problems with this drug and their injuries. Thanks for your responses
