Amantadine and Azilect

I've had PD now for three years. I started taking LND about 3 weeks ago..., which has helped with a few things, more engery, my knees don't hurt anymore...which is great. Here's the issue. I've had Cramping in my left foot for three years now, Always though it was due to surgery, I had a bunion. Well, three years later, I still can't walk very far without it cramping, and it really effects my life, meaning I don't due to much due to the cramping....can't walk to far, not even around the block....I've had it!!!! I've tried everything to no avail!!!! Which one would help me....Amantadine or Azilect????? Thank for your inputs

No, I haven't been on anything yet. Should I go that route? I thought it's best to wait as long as possible? Thanks for your reply! cheers

Re: Amantadine and Azilect

HI,

Best to check with your Dr. on meds. I think they all have side effects of some sort. It is best to wait as long as possible, so I've heard. If you start something and after a month or two you don't like it or you don't get any relief of symptoms, you can always stop it and try something else.

Re: Amantadine and Azilect

Hi Betty,

Thanks for your response. I'm looking into just taking Amantadine, I'd rather not take to much at this time, however if this helps with my foot that will be great. I'll keep you posted. I'm 54 years old, and it looks like I've had PD for at least 3 years....Great chatting with you. How are you doing? God Bless
