OsteoArthritis Alternative Relief

I have alot of pain in my right knee due to Arthritis.
I'm considering the following treatment. Either Synvisc
or Orthovisc which are FDA Approved Non-Drug Therapy
which includes injecting Ultra-Pure Natural Hyaluronan
in the knee. Hyaluronan is naturally found in healthy
joint fluid. There are three injections, one per week
that is suppose to give you six months of relief. Some
health insurance will pay for this.

Has anybody onboard use this alternative treatment.
ANY FEEDBACK WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Re: OsteoArthritis Alternative Relief

There is an even better alternative than hyaluronan injections - I've been seriously considering
Its called Orthokine therapy

Some proff in London is doing this and it seems to be genuine
Good luck

Gloria, a friend of mine had the treatment you're talking about and her knee isn't hurting as bad. The shots are painful though. She lives in Virginia.

Re: OsteoArthritis Alternative Relief

Hi
I downloaded the" book" about this treatrment , and it sounds promising
they can inject several joints including the vertebrae It takes up to 6 weeks to get relief from pain and the effects last up to 2 years
Then you can repeat the procedure
I have no idea of the cost though and since i live in the UK i dont suppose our NHS will be prepared to pay for it

Re: OsteoArthritis Alternative Relief

Have you ever tried a heating pad on your knee? My husband has chondromalacia in his left knee and after his surgery, he tried physical therapy as well as the medications to help with the pain; none of those things really worked. He heard someone recommend this hemp heating pad from Pretty Momma Sling, so he tried it and he says his knee is feeling so much better! I know you were asking advice for the injections, but I just thought you may want to try something like this first.
