Question Adrenal Pain

Does anyone experience actual pain? I experience adrenal pain for a couple of days non-stop once in a while. Currently I am experiencing it. I am very strong and I push through, but I am not sure most people would function through this pain. I am just wondering if anyone else can relate?

Re: Adrenal Pain

I usually get a very strong pain in (or around) my left andrel gland, when I am going into a crises or have a very bad day.
It is a sort of pain that feels like a knife stuck and twisted in my side and it is the strongest kind of pain I have ever had.
Only thing I can do while having them is laying very still in bed, waiting for it to go away. No sort of pain medicin has worked at all.
is it that kind of pain you got too? And what do you do to get thou them?
Hugs Lis

(I hope i explain it right, I am dainsh and english isnt my first languid )

Re: Adrenal Pain

Yes, the pain feels like a stabbing, intense pain. I don't take medicines, so I don't take anything for it. I have a strong pain tolerance, but there are times when the stabbing is so intense that I jerk, wince, and moan in pain. This is the second time it has happened this fall. The first time it lasted two days. This time, today marks my third day with the pain.

I don't do anything to get them. I am a stay at home mom, I am not stressed out. My body is physically stressed because I have other autoimmune diseases such as Graves and Hashimotos of the thyroid and perhaps others.

Re: Adrenal Pain

I am like you, not doing anything to get them, also a unstressed stay at home mom.
But my body seems to be taking everything in after getting addison.
I was sick before getting addison, I have some nervedammages in my face that means I am on morphin daily just to get thou the day. Maybe that do stress my body more, I think it does. I do know I could not live without medicin. I tried it once when I desidet that I did not need it and stopped, which sent me in hospital and I ended up on even more meds for a while.
But even on painmedicin I regonaise the stabbing, wince and moaning in pain too, so I am sure its the same problem we have.
I get them twice a month for a day or two. during my menses and 14 days later, so my doctor thinks it might be related to hormons somehow, and will try some hormon meds on me. I will let you know if he finds something that might work.
Hugs
