Use of Concerta vs Ritalin for narcolepsy

My doctor recently changed me from Ritalin to Concerta, which is a time-released
form of the base drug, Methylphenidate. The problem is that my Health insurance
won't pay for the Concerta, claiming it's only use is for ADD/AHDD instead of also
for narcolepsy, which is what I suffer from. An appeal to them came back denied. I
have an additional avenue for another appeal and I would like to gather and present enough
professional opinion to them to convince them that this medication can also be used for narcolepsy in
addition to ADD/ADHD. If you could foster an opinion on this matter it would be greatly appreciated.
Let me state that the insurance covered the Ritalin for narcolepsy use. The reason my doctor and I want to try the Concerta is that the Ritalin has a short life span with me, goes to a peak and then wears off within a couple of hours (I am a big man, 6'3", 265 lbs). If you could reply in an e-mail or letter in the affirmative,, it would be greatly apprecciated.

I am also awaiting an answer from the mfg.
