oxycontin is NOT time released percocet, percocet is percocet. Percocet has a duration of 4 hours. It is not IR. OxyContin is controlled release oxycodone w/o the apap yes but they both have the same active drug which is oxycodone. I can take oxycodone and put apap in it and call it Jerkacet if i wanted to. Those are just brand names. Oxycontin, Oxyfast, OxyIR, Percocet, Percodan, Roxicodone ect they all have the same active narcotic.

One little chip, takes the time realsease away. Any tampering(chewing, breaking...) will take that controll
release away. So, most people w/ a problem w/ oxy's, take the coating off, which destroys the whole reason for the high dose.
just some thoughts....

I DID NOT write this to tell you how to get past the coat!!!! Just throwing my knowledge from experiece w/ said drug!!!!!

Hey everyone just wanted to say Hello and from what I have been reading I am the "old one" here well in this lil part of the group lol. So when do you leave for vacation again RLcowboy? Remember keep yourself busy is "key" to detoxing on vacation. As I posted before I did it for 2 weeks last summer. I am from Canada and I was in the States so of course for me there was no way to "cave" and get any cuz I didnt have insurance there. It was get up in the morning take an Immodium and a half 0.5 Ativan and a Red Bull energy drink and I was good to go. Besides the lil immodium thing I didnt really notice I was detoxing that much. I did wish now and then I had a "perc" me up but it passed quickly when we were out on the boat or fishing. The mental part was the hardest to kick I knew there was some at home back in Canada waiting for me when I got home and I had to get that out of my mind I even called my mom and told her to get them and keep them as long as she could before I REALLY needed them (check pain board for why). I read somewhere you have a script at home? Or coming to you? Hmmm that will be a test of strength in its own. But ya know when you come home from vacation clean and feelin good you might not even care. God bless you and have a wonderful vacation
A.C., Cade, Okie, Sooready, Kitty and everyone else you are all great and I luv catching up with ya all and seeing how great you are doing. Wonderful friends you all are and my Luv and Prayers to you always.

Love To All
