I am not Kitty, but it seems you are having a hard time and I am sorry about that. Are you one of the ones that is considering suboxone?? Are you trying to taper, what is your story and maybe I can help. Sorry you are having such a hard time, just keep trying to press on and know this won't last forever. Dani

Hi,

Yes, I am trying to taper one last time before surrendering to the suboxone. I have read a lot of your posts and it does seem like a great option. I had an appt for Monday and was ready to start the suboxone, but my sitter backed out so now I can't go until next thursday. So I figured I had some extra time I might as well try...but the sad thing is I have tried so many times I kind of know that I can't do it on my own, but I figured at least I can say "I tried" I did stop for 9 mos when I was pregnant so I do know it is possible, now I just want to stop for my daughter and myself of course, she is such a great kid. You are very happy with suboxone? Have you decreased your dose yet? Thanks for listening.

Gabbi hang in there. Don't get any more pills. If anything get some meds to help you through this transition. Valium (over all symptom reducer), ambien (sleep), phenergan (nausea), bentyl (leg cramps, Imodium (the runs) can help immensely.

Don't give in, get stronger, be strong and will yourself to getting off these darn opiates. You will be a new refreshed person trust me.

Gabbi, I am ok with the suboxone, but I am wanting to get off due to the cost of it. We bought a new house and I keep thinking of all the money that could be put into the house instead of on this drug. I think it was a great option to get me off of the vic, but I wished I would of tapered off of it within a few weeks, now I know it will be harder. My insurance doesn't pay for any of it, so I pay about 260.00 mnhtly. I am gonna talk to the ol doc on monday and see if he will taper me off in the next month. Dani
