Post Alesse

My doctor has switched me from Diane 35 to Alesse. He said that Diane causes blood clots. I do not want to switch. Has anyone had success with this?

Well, the Pill will react different in every person due to body chemistry. I was on Alesse and it did not work well for me. I stayed on it 9 months. I started getting very bad migraine-like headaches and I was so nauseous more days than I felt good. It did help keep my skin from breaking out too much which is one good thing about hormones.

I used to be on Demulen which really helped make my skin clear, but it made me severely depressed and a basketcase. I was on that too long, 2 years.

I have been on Alesse for four years and really like it. It has been the only pill I have been able to tolerate. The higher dose pills give me horrible headaches and bloating. As far as my skin, I don't think it's made much of a difference either way.

Like Luna said, everyone is different. You'll never know how you will react to it until you try it.

I was on Aleese for a couple months because my weight was so low that I didn't get my period anymore. It worked, but it gave me bad acne. A lot of other girls on this board found that it caused them to break out pretty badly. If I were you, I would give it a shot, but if you feel like it's making you sick and making your acne worse, try Yasmin. It worked for me for a while...I was totally clear. But then my face got bad again! gurr!

I was on Alesse and it caused me to break out in horrible cystic acne on my cheeks, forehead and jawline. I never had acne at all until I took Alesse. Yasmin saved me, but god, Alesse was awful! I highly do not recommend it if you know you are sensitive to androgens (male hormones). I sure as hell was.
