I just ran out of my usual triphasil that ive been on religiously for 6 yrs, and now taking yasmin............felt crappy since this pill, very weak, fuzzy headed and now either a yeast or bv infection or maybe both. Doc cant get me in until next week.

Have been on Yasmin for almost a year and I love it!! It helped to clear up my face and I haven't had any other side effects. And I'm not dead yet!

Every birth control pill has risks of blood clots that can be dangerous and cause death worst case scenario. They all have that warning on the package insert. That is the only thing I can think of that is serious besides there being a higher risk of breast cancer while taking birth control pills and they all have that same risk. The Yasmin pill does have a different one I guess though because it causes increased potassium and that can be dangerous if someone has liver problems. It's all on the package insert though all of those warnings.

hey I am on Alesse and I was wondering why your doc switched you....is there something wrong with this pill I should know about? I got switched from Ortho-CYCLEN to Alesse because I wanted a lower hormone dose due to head-aches and dizziness. Lemme know
