thanks again for your reply, but they tried to give her a beta blocker before any of this happened (4 months ago) because of her low bp, and all it did was make her sick! ya see, she has lupus and epilepsy and the lopressor interfered with her other medications and actually dropped her bp. It is in my opinion that she does not have this disorder. If she is laying down, standing up, walking, running, or sitting her bp is LOW all the time. I truley believe that it is linked to her last heart operation. She had open heart to have her aortic valve replaced and her heart muscle never decreased back to normal (which after most surgeries does). So now it is as though the valve is not the proper size for her heart.... so the doctors need to go back to the drawing board because Vasovagal Syncope is NOT a smart diagnosis for her. I have also heard and read alot of mis-diagnosis of Vasovagal Syncope with patients who are epeleptic?

Has she had a video eeg with her epileptic turns? That would be a good idea I think. Did they want to try her on the same beta blocker or a different one?

She had several different tests for epilepsy over the years (she started with that in 1981). They wanted to start her on the same beta blocker (lopressor). And like I said that did not do any good for her it made her really sick and actually made her worse and dropped her bp even more, terrible headaches. The other beta blocker , they said, she can not take because of her other medication. She goes back to cardiologist next Friday, so I will see what he has to say then. Thanks again for your reply drama
