purple2067- Im also in NY, so I am going to call the places you mentioned. And my doctor never gave me a list of other psychiatrists or even hinted at it. She just told me to cancel my appointment. She also didnt mention a word about weaning off the xanax. She just gave me 2 weeks worth and said to leave.
Murphy- I was told that they can phone in prescriptions for xanax if its an emergency. The doctor told me that she couldnt do it when i talked to her the night before I came in(when I was totally out) Then when I'm on my way there when I gave them the call asking if the script form was ready, that is when they told me that they could call it in. Go figure right? I guess it wasnt important enough to the doctor the night before when I was having a panic attack and was all out of meds. But the next day they could do it for some reason. This damn place is a joke. I still can't believe that the doc that was treating my mental illness could behave in such a way and make up lies about what I said. Well, I really think I have a case against these people and it seems you guys feel almost the same way. LIke I said, Im calling a lawyer tomorrow, and have allready called my insurance company along with a couple other places. I am filing reports with as many places as I can, and have also written a few letters and sent them to my local newspaper along with a couple other places. Now, Im not one of those people who sue mcdonalds when they dump hot coffee in their lap. I just dont think this lady should be practicing medicine and I am going to do my utmost to see that as many people as possible know the way they treat their patients at this place. I've talked to a few other people who have some bad things to say about this place also. I just really hope that this place isn't just allowed to get away with something like this. I'll know more tomorrow after a few phone calls. Again, thanks to everyone who responded. I really appreciate it. And thank you for the support.
