Is there a brand name for this? I tried to find Chlortrimeton in the pharmacy and had no luck. Thanks.

I'll answer both of your questions. Chlortrimeton is the brand name. It is a very common safe Over the counter drug - you don't need a prescription. Ask any pharmacist and they will be able to help you.

Hi Sister, You could go to the pharmist and ask for Chlorpheniramine melate 12mg. This is the name of the chemical and is used in alot of other allergy medications. In my country the 12mg is not available so I take three 4mg in the morning and three 4mg in the night.

A note to "sister"
I read your post at another area in this web site about nervs pain....You need to see your doctor about daily long term anti viral medication like acyclovir to keep the pain form coming back. I'tll also keep most shingles away.
