Post Can allergies possibly mimic MS or Lupis? Read this...

6 months having trouble with fatigue(sometimes severe), vertigo, headache, body aches, itching feet and skin with no rash, sinus drainage-had surgery in Dec to stop sinus infections from reocurring. At times forearms will be sore to the touch for no apparent reason. Other times when I get headaches I am also nauseated and all that helps is sleep. MRI shows a bright spot in the center of the brain in the area where MS spots are common but all tests for MS or Lupus such as ANA's and others look ok. I came off of Allegra in Nov right before the surgery and have not went back on it as it didn't really seem to help with the sinus infection problem then anyway.

Do these sound like allergy symptoms in whole?
The worst part of it all is the fatigue. It makes it hard to work for a living. Have 3 boys to support-need help asap... any suggestions?

Saw Family doc and chemistry blood tests were all good.
Have seen Nuerologist with no answers. (Stress was his sugeestion and his meds made me more sick and caused stomach pain without relieving any existing symptoms.)
Did find out that antibiotics taken before the surgery caused a yeast infection in my intestinal tract that everyone overlooked for 5 months! This made everything that is wrong react 10x worse-thought I would die! Much better in the pain aspect but still having these symptoms I have mentioned almost daily. I am currently taking Diflucan for a month-1 week left. Any ideas would be great!! Thanks.

Cool

Hi Allen B,

A real clue that it may be allergies is that the Doctors cannot find out what it is. When a doctor says it's "Stress" that is a code word for they don't have a clue - They must learn this one in medical school.

Search this board for the Drug Chlorotrimeton. It's an old allergy drug that makes you sleepy. Give it a try, it worked for me and I have been on it for about 4 years now.

Good luck and you just have to be your own doctor and keep searching.

Cut-Throat Ha! Ha! Ha! re: comments about the doctors. I'm waiting for other tests results, but your antihistamine is on my list of things to try.

Allen-B: Check-out information on candida (fungal infection in the body causing many symptoms including fatigue).
