Re: epidural steriod injection #2

Well, I just found out I have Osteopenia (low bone density) and since the steroids in the injections are bad for that, I won't be able to have any more. So, there are potential issues with the shots.

In any case, good luck!

I had a series of three epidural steriod injections, and they were each two weeks apart. Make sure you know what drug they are planning to give you, and read up on it. Depo-Medrol is commonly used, although it's not approved for this purpose.

Did you have any problems with the injections and did they use Depo-Medrol?
Kenalog is not approved for this either. Have done a whole lot of research after the fact. Wish I had done it before.

Re: epidural steriod injection #2

I had a shot last month that did nothing at all for me. I am going for a second shot on December 31st. Im keeping my fingers crossed that it will give me even the tiniest bit of relief for the awful sciatica & excruciating hip pain I have been having. Im also going for a Myelogram to see where the nerve is being pinched. Good luck to you all.
