Re: has anyone took ortho-try-cyclen lo?????

It might work for you, I'm not saying it wont... but in my own personal opinion the stuff was my worst nightmare! Just like all BCPs it totally helps horrible cramps and makes your period alot lighter, but the initial breakout is unbearable. Its almost guaranteed that you will have a bad initial breakout! It gave me horrible cystic acne around my jaw on on my cheeks that left me with some pretty horrible scars. I was on it for 4 months and it made my face alot worse than when I first started. (Mind you... it was not bad at all before OTC-Lo) Even *if* it does clear you up, you might still have some type of scar from it. It cleared up my little sis completly, but she still has bumps under her skin from the cysts that wont go away. I dont recommend the stuff at all because now I'm on 2 diffferent oral meds to counteract what it did to me. I'm back on a BCP called Apri (Desogen generic) which kept me clear as a bell for 2 years w/ no initial breakout. Try it if you like, but I pray it doesnt do to you what it did to me!
