Molluscum contagiosum

Hi all,

Is there anyone out there who has contract this? ... I have recently contracted this and was prescribed Aldara by my dermo... its been three months and it appears to have had no impact on treating the problem. I have approximately 5 or 6 small lesions on my penis that won't go away. it's really putting a big strain on my relationship with my g-friend who is now weary of having sex as she might contract the pox. (secretly I beleive she also questions where I got it from)...
Does anyone have a good treatment success story they could share with me ? Or let me know how long I can expect to have this problem?

I had molluscums also when I was 17 (I'm 26 now) I had like 4 or 5 skin tabs in my groin area. My Dr said to just let them be, which I did and they fell off within 6mon to a yr. I was in a one partner relationship at the time and we had sex often. He never got anything on his penis or surrounding area. I have no idea how I got it, except that he had a small son who had some warts on hos hand and molluscums are often seen on the limbs of children. Unfortunately my Dr said there wasn't much you can do, they do fall off on there own or you can have them frozen off if they're not on your genitals (which it sounds like they are). Anyway just wanted to share my story. Hope it goes away for you soon.
