Snowylynne.......No, not to my knowledge has he had any seizures. The dr. just recently took him off seroquel and sinemet. It was replaced by haloperidol 2 days ago.
I was so happy to find these boards and listen to others opinions and knowledge. Actually, I know we have to have Doctor's, but sometimes people like yourself and others, can help so much.....hands on experience.
Have to wait a couple more days and see how this Haloperidol is going to play out.
Thanks so much.....SARAH

Depakote Is an anticonvulsant, which Is used with many patients.I wouldn't want to be on Haldol as In many people It makes them very hyper,I have seen this for myself when I was working. If drugs are a problem, all you can do Is try different drugs.Ritalin Is another that can send a person thru the roof.I take Reminyl,as after 4 years the Aricept was becoming Ineffective.....Doing good now.Was on Trazadone,& Wellbutrin. After awhile,& vomiting,I refused the trazadone,as I was way too dopey, stumbling, falling, like a bad drunk. Then found It was the Wellbutrin that was making me so sick,I refused to take any more of It,I stopped being sick.I'm back on Effexor feeling better, calmer, not crying at the drop of a hat.My eating Is very poor, nothing tastes good anymore,no appetite to speak of.I eat when I get hungry If it's at 3 am,or whatever, that's when I eat.Anything you can get your LO to eat Is good,no matter what It Is,If he,or she Is a poor eater, even sweets. My thing Is veggies,I used to love sweets, but even that has changed.I do like soda pop.The water here Is awful,So I buy my water at the store.Still like twinkies,lol........

The Dr. did place him on Haldol and for the moment it is working. Next week, he may be going bonkers again and we will be off in search of another meds.
He is a very good eater....anything you place in front of him, he eats!
I am so sorry about your appetite, that is just the way my Mother was...she ate but not as she normally would have. With both of my parents being sticken with AD, I am going to be tested soon, but I am not familiar with the tests and if the results are fairly accurate.
Thanks, for your help and God Bless You.
