What area are you getting the bumps in? There are some drugs now used for herpes (chicken pox/shingles is in the herpes family) that might be good for you. They are antivirals, and seem to be safe. One is called
Valtrex. Also, if you look up Tagamet (over the counter stomach med), it's actually been found to be an effective antiviral. When I had mono (another pesky disease in the herpes family), my doctor recommended Tagamet, about 1200 mg per day. Kicked it in the butt, I was very surprised, but very grateful to my doctor for the info!
