Shaking from meds

I'm new to this ng but not to asthma! A brief history-I'm 46 and was born with asthma and a month ago I had a cold which went into bronchitis, tracheitis and an URI, then my asthma went completly out of control. I was hospitalized with severe asthma with hypoxia. My O2 sats were 88 and peak flow less than 200. I'm now on 7 inhalers, steroids and a nebulizer with occasional oxygen use.
My question is-I get the shakes so bad from all these meds, is there any way to control this? I can't even hold a glass when this is going on.
Sorry this is so long, but Iwould be deeply grateful for any suggestions.

Steroids do that, and other bad things. The only thing to do is talk to the doc about lowering the amount your recieving.
One question, are you recieving care from a specialist in asthma? If not, you need to, most doctors (and hospitals) don't know how to treat asthma.

Thanks for the reply. I took your advice and I have an appt. with a pulmonologist on Thurs.
I have to agree that my PCP is out of her league on this one. I think I'm being over medicated.

Thanks for all replies. I saw the pulmonoligist on Thurs. and we have things straightened out. He started me on Accolate, Serevent and kept the Flovent, Atrovent and Alupent mdi's and switched the alupent for my neb to a stronger dose of albuterol and stepped it up to every 4 hrs. This seems to work much better for me!
