Well, SOMETHING'S working.

My skin is suddenly clearing up. I've changed a bunch of things, though, so I don't know what's helping. Thought I'd share anyway. Maybe you can glean something from this.

All at the same time, I:

Took a 3-week course of Augmentin (for a sinus infection)
Started taking additional vitamin E supplements once a day
Started taking "Fishol" fish oil supplements twice a day

My last dose of the Augmentin was last Friday. I don't know if the sinus infection is gone. The drug is probably still in my system.

The rest of my routine hasn't changed: Neutregena "healthy skin" cleanser at night, Oxy 10 cleanser in the morning, "Healthy skin" lotion (for sensitive skin) morning and night, Jason vitamin E cream at night, Olay "Active Hydrating" (for sensitive skin) in the morning. I stopped eating wheat back in July. All or some of this may be extraneous. I don't know anymore. I'm 36 and I've been trying different combinations of products since I was 13.

It's the Augmentin...it's used to clear up the bacteria that cause acne.

What is this Augmentin? Do you have to see a derm for it?

Re: Well, SOMETHING'S working.

It's an antibiotic, related to amoxycilan. Any doctor could prerscribe it.

Keflex is another antibiotic that works for acne. I've used it to clear up cysts. Worked really well although it didn't work as well taking a daily maintenance dose.
