Post What medications is everyone taking?

What medications is anyone taking? Do you they have side effects?

I use a Nebulizer 6 times a day (4 times with Xopenex, 2 with Albuterol sol). I take Adavir, Singulair, Flovent, Abluterol inh, and I am sure there is one more.

You're going to get quite a variety of answers here I think. Asthma is a rather personal disease so everyone finds a different mix. I am steroid dependent so my list is a little nasty:
* Advair 500/50
* Flovent 250
* Spiriva (the new 24-hour Atrovent release-love it!)
* Prednisone - curently 20 mg daily (hoping to go to
alternate day dosing - ok, hoping to get off the
stuff but not likely to happen)
* Ventolin nebs or puffers and/or Bricanyl if needed

In hopes of getting off the prednisone I was on theophylline for a while but it was too hard on my heart and I tried Accolate but got minimal response for the big bucks.

Side effects? Lots! So, to counteract the side effects (especially of the prednisone) I take a whole bunch of supplements and Actonel which hopefully will stop my bones from disintigrating too quickly.

barb, I'm curious; have you asked your dr. about going to alternate-day-dosing for your prednisone? What did he/she say?

Cool

wrin, I was taking prednisone a few months ago when my asthma got bad and I was taking it two times a day.
