Re: Okay so what now?
Hi..
I just have to ask. As I haven't seen it asked before or mentioned on here.. (but I haven't read every single post either, so it may be there... )
You said that you haven't changed anything and that everything started happening.. Eatting right, exercise, etc...
Have you thought about anything else that may have changed?? New pillow? Different Shampoo/conditioner? New Jewelry? New Perfume?
Perhaps you are allergic to something.
Generally if/when I break out, it is on my cheeks, jawline, neck.. My forehead is as smooth as butter.. Until suddenly my forehead started breaking out really bad, and it too started to spread.. I found that my new hair styling product (Guts, it was called) was what was making my forehead break out something fierce..
I also don't wear too much jewelry anymore, for as I have gotten older, I have developed a slight allergy to metal.
Hope this helps..

Only thing I can think of is that I got a new dog. I got him as a gift from my boyfriend for Xmas. I already had a Chihuahua before I got this dog, but I never had any problems? But I can tell that my Chihuahua and this dog have totally different types of fur. For the first month or so, he slept with me, directly on my pillow. However, he hasn't slept there for about a month now. But I would hate to think that it is him causing all this!! What I've done to help is wash all my blankets, pillow cases, towels, EVERYTHING! The dog hasn't been on my bed for about 4 weeks now. But still no, improvement?

Re: Okay so what now?
Hi!
I've been having acne since about your age. At first they were small. Then some of them got big. After a few years trying different topical ointments I started to go to dermathologist. The first doctor that I went to was about 3 years ago. After trying several medication, he finally prescribed me tetracycline and gave me Retin-A 0.025%. That helped a lot. I had a clear face for a few months and had a clear face for my wedding day. Then he told me to reduce my tetracycline intake and only take it during the time when I know my face would get worse which is usually around my period or ovulation.
Then I stopped taking tetra because I don't want to get dependant on it. I also stopped using retin-a for a while. The acne came back but it was not as bad as before. Last summer I went to Europe. For some reason, may be because of the hot and humid weather that made me sweaty all the time, my face became clear. No acne at all! I was so happy. A couple of months after I came back to the states, the acne came back. It was like before I went to the doctor 3 years ago. It could be because of stress because I found out I had a thyroid cancer. I had it removed which made my hormone fluctuate like roller coaster. I started using retin-a again. It didn't help much. So I went to the doctor again. A different one. He prescribed me erythromicin and told me to continue applying retin-a at night. After over 2 months on it, my acne is getting better.
Now I that I'm pregnant, I rarely get new acne. I stopped all acne medicine except BP 10% just to treat the ones that just came out.
My doc told me if you are a woman and you are still having your period, it's normal to have acne. The only way to control it is by making sure your face is clean and moisturized. He told me to reduce sweet and greasy food as they would make pimple worse.
Hope that helps

I'm sorry to here about your Thyroid. That must be very stressful for you.. on top of it making your hormones fluctuate like crazy...
Right now I'm just using Retin A and taking the Doxycycline, and I think it's working? I've noticed a considerable improvement. I hope this works?
And I hope you get better too! I'll pray for you!

Re: Okay so what now?
Just a note about the Yasmin....I went on it about a year ago and although initially it made my face much worse, it cleared me for about 5 months....not completely, but much better. For the past 3 months, however, my cheeks and jawline have broken out with cysts like crazy. I have stopped taking the Yasmin and am going back on Demulen because I am convinced that the Yasmin is making me worse.
I know everyone is different, but I just thought you should know. 4 months ago, I was praising Yasmin....now, my skin has taken a turn for the worst.
