Post Bad reaction to advair?

A little over two weeks ago I started taking advair 250/50 for asthma. Unitl this time I had never had asthma before, but after about a week on the advair I started to feel much better. In addition I am on clarinex and was prescribed combivent as an inhaler. On monday, my face became very numb, as well as my lips and my face was also tingling. In addition, my face seemed to spasm at times, with the area around my lips and my lips tightening up, a scenario which made it harder, but not impossible to talk. After telling this to my doctor he switched me to flovent seeming to imply to me that it was a reaction to advair. I was just wondering if anything like this has happened to others. By the way, I took the advair correctly, or as prescribed.

Thanks in advance for any help that one might offer

If I would suspect a reaction to anything, I'd suspect the combivent.

But everyone's different -- you never know.

I have only used the combivent twice, once on that Friday and once on the saturday before the monday when I had the reaction. I did use two puffs each time however. Although I would have thought that by monday, the combivent would have been out of my system.

I had a similar reaction to advair when I first started taking it(as perscribed) twice daily. My nose and around my mouth would go uncomforatbly numb. My doctor lowered the dose to once daily which sometimes doesn't seem like enough if I am stressed or menstrating. I have only had problems with it 1 time since he lowered the dosage. Good Luck.
