metformin and avandia combined

Has anyone ever taken these 2 drugs together. Apparently there is a new drug combining these 2. If you have taken both would you please let me know side effects and info would be thankful.

I have been taking these 2 together for the last couple of weks and have had no problems.
I take 500 of Metformin in the AM an PM and I think its 4 of Avandia in the AM.

I have been taking Avandamet 2/500 since the beginning of December. My blood sugar is in control and I do not have any side effects.

i have been taking 750 mgs xr glucophage and 8 mgs of avandia since january 13th. i take the glucophage after dinner and never go above 150, the only time i am higher is after my first meal, dinner is my 2nd meal of the day. i also am on 30 mgs of glucotrol but i stopped 20 mgs and sometimes just take the 10 mgs. theonly side effects i have are from the avandia, swollen ankles, weight gain, but ive been on the avandia for about 4 years now and was trying to get off it and i cant unless i want to take insulin. hope this helps you/

The Glucophage makes me so sick to my stomache. The Dr. said I will get use to it. DId it make any of you sick, and how long did it last??
