Need Advice Please!!

Could you please give me some good suggestions on BP medication. I cannot seem to find one that will work. I have been on Verapamil (it just stopped working), Procardia (Gave me really bad heart palps), Accupril (stopped working), Aldomet (stopped working) and currently taking Atacand (NOT working at all).

Is there any other meds out there I can try? And why do they just stop working? I am getting so frustrated.

I am set up for a Nuclear Cardiac Stress Test on the 31st of March, what is this test?

Thanks so much for your help.

You can find more about this stress test at http://www.americanheart.org/presenter.jhtml?identifier=4743

I just got this done couple days ago. It took about 2 hours to complete.

Only your doctor can tell you what medication would be right for you to try to lower BP.

Tammy-
Has your doctor ever tried thiazide diuretics for you? Good old HCTZ (hydrochlorothiazide) has been the mainstay of hypertension therapy for decades.
