I just moved to Charlotte, NC and I am looking for a dermatologist who will put me on accutane. I have been suffering from acne for 14 years now. I have tried everything possible (retin A, tazorac, BP, Ortho Tri Cyclen, antibiotics, cleocin T, Proactiv, vitamins, dieting, egg masks, salicylic acid, everything at the drugstore, etc...you name it I have tried it). I am now 27, still breaking out (My acne got really bad when I was 20), and I am fed up with this. I got my skin under control a while back, or so I thought, but them I woke up one morning and my face and neck was broken out like crazy! I am embarrassed to even leave my house, but I have to go to work everyday. Since I just moved to a new town, I have to find a new derm. Does anybody here know of a good derm in Charlotte, NC? How likely is it that a dermatologist will put me on accutane after one or two visits. I am desperate. I want to try accutane even though there are health risks. My acne would probably be classified as mild to moderate, but is very persistent. I have never seen my face completely clear, and I have a lot of hyperpigmentation which makes it look worse. Every time I get a zit it leaves a mark, even if I don't touch it. Any advice?
