Aldera Help

Okay i have been taking Aldera for a few weeks now, last week i noticed a little blister like wound dirctly where the aldera applied location of my penis lays. At first it was a little painful, but now only hurts when i apply the aldera. I'm am really worried that this is herpes. Does anyone have any enlightenment about this. Thanks

HI! Yes. I have been using Aldara and I have gotten a lot of those blisters right where I apply the cream. It is freaking me out. Today I go to the gyno to find out what it is - I will let you know. Also, I read on a board somewhere else from someone who got blisters from Aldara, had the blister biopsied, and came out negative for herpes. This may just be a side effect of the cream. I hope it doesn't mean that Aldara can activate a dormant case of herpes, just that Aldara produces "herpes-like" blisters. I will post again later today.

NOT HERPES! - Definitely not. If it comes and goes with the Aldara, it is not herpes. I was told this is a very common reaction, but it can cause scarring, so you need to lower the dosage when blisters start to form. Good luck with everything!!

Hi there.

Also taking aldera for about a month now. I'm also wondering about this. For me, I'm circumsized, it seems to be a REAL red rashiness thats shiny. Right at the bottom of the head to shaft, where the foreskin comes in contact, around the lip. Im really worried too. I also have a redish spot about the size of a dime near the top of the head. No blisters......just looks really irratated. There's gotta be someway we can tell its not herpies, right?

Worried.

Re: Aldera Help

Aldara has been found to trigger outbreaks of herpes in some patients who have dormant herpes. 3M knows this happens but will not put it on the label. If you really want to know what Aldara is all about I suggest you visit http://www.aldara1.com where there is a collection of data and information 3M "forgot" to warn everyone about on the label. Most all the data is 3M's own materials. Go all through the site as just a quick visit will not do you justice in educating yourself about Aldara. It's really bad stuff.
