Re: Why can't they cure this??

It does seem like there is a good treatment that is currently in the clinial trial phase. Some other people have posted about it. I think I am going to sign up for it. Approximately 37% of the people in the study haven't had any outbreaks in 15 months after receiving the shots. The other people in the study have greatly reduced the number of outbreaks after receiving the shots.

That's pretty good considering there aren't many treatments for most viruses out there. I know a lot of people think there is a conspiracy when it comes to herpes, but thousands of people die from the flu every year in America. There isn't much they can do for you when you get the flu, its up to your immune system.

A lot of money is being poured into finding treatments and vaccines for herpes. It is complicated though. After a company spends a lot of money coming up with the drug they then have to jump through hoops to get it approved by the FDA in America.

From the research I've done though I do think there is hope for a better treatment. I think its better to be proactive and help the drug companies find a treatment by signing up for studies when they are available. People like us have to be willing to be part of the solution if one is ever to be found.

Re: Why can't they cure this??

Aldara has been found to trigger outbreaks of herpes in some patients who have dormant herpes. 3M knows this happens but will not put it on the label. If you really want to know what Aldara is all about I suggest you visit http://www.aldara1.com where there is a collection of data and information 3M "forgot" to warn everyone about on the label. Most all the data is 3M's own materials. Go all through the site as just a quick visit will not do you justice in educating yourself about Aldara. It's really bad stuff. Side effects include drug induced autoimmune disorders as well...

Orn, sweety i've seen quite a few posts by Very worried guy and his posts are NOT medically correct they are half truths and it also seems he can't make up his mind about things, so i'd say the answer to you question is NO.

He's HALF right, herpes does infect nerve cells like cancer does. You can easily kill a cell, cells die every day, millions of them and you would NOT lose control of the lower half of your body. VALTREX already does that, Valtrex kills the infected "replicated: cells, that cause outbreaks.

I'm still a believe in hyperbaric chamber research to kill the virus itself, they use it in certain bone cancers and cancers of the bone marrow, and bone and marrow infections and it DOES work, but it's really expensive and time consuming and so therefore falls into the not likely solution. And no I'm not bashing anynone, i'm well aware it's against the rules. Just statin the facts.
