Hey mem86, I was just about to ask about your spiro progress =). Nice to hear it's still working great for you. I've only been on spiro for 35 days, but even in such a short time, nothing else including accutane has made me even half as clear!
I finally found something that works but I'm a guy so it's only a short term solution due to the POSSIBLE long term feminine effects. I don't want boobs! Anywho keep us posted & good luck. BTW are you finding it difficult to fall asleep or is it just me?

Hey mem, I think ur referring to avodart. I don't think any studies were ever done to prove it effectiveness against acne. Also the possible side effects listed for avodart is exactly the same as it is for spiro.
As for saw palmetto, I tried it about 2 years ago and never noticed any real improvement. I don't think I gave it enough time to work though, I only used it for about 30 days. Thanks for helping o/

I am currently just on Spiro and Saw Palmetto, but I am planning on beginning birth control soon. I am doing it to see if there is an additional improvement in my skin and also to see if it will make my breasts get bigger since the androgens will be blocked by spiro and I will be putting the estrogen-like hormones in my body from the pill (Ah, it would be nice )
I don't see how there can be any harm in doing both at the same time. If anyone knows differently, please let me know. But I've heard lots of stories on the boards of women doing this. I'm pretty stoked.
