Hi Im about 35 weeks pregnant and for the last few weeks I have noticed that my left underarm is puffed up. The right underarm looks normal. The part of the underarm that is puffy is the part closest to my breast. It doesn't hurt and I have not been able to find any lumps. I'm going to ask my doctor but wanted to know if any of you have experienced the same thing, or know what this is. Thanks in advance!
Sounds to me like maybe your lymph nodes arent filtering fluid as efficiently in that arm.
Maybe a mild case of lymphodema that will go away once the baby is born?
ashton's mommy- that was a good guess. I looked it up on the net and I was convinced thats what was going on. Surprisingly I was wrong! I had my doctor take a look at it and he said it was mammary breast tissue that migrated up there. He also said it will get worse before it gets better but after the baby and breastfeeding it will go back to normal. He said he sees that a lot and it's nothing to worry about. Just thought I would let you know.
