Stomach Issues again...

I posted here a while ago with symptoms of nausea, fullness, etc. I have had blood work, an abdominal and pelvic CT scan, which showed "something" on my pancreas, and then an Endoscopic Ultrasound that was perfectly normal. The doctor who performed the EUS is a specialist from Harvard Medical School and Mass General Hospital in Boston. He said it could have been a shadow on my pancreas that showed in the CT scan. If that is the case, could it NOT have shown something, too?

Well, I was feeling great, for the most part, the last month or more, but symptoms have returned the last couple of days - fullness, "almost" nausea which gets better when I eat, but only to return about an hour later. I also have TONS of rumbling, and gas in my stomach.

What now? The doctor said she basically has performed a "living autopsy" between the CT scan and EUS, so, in one sense, I am relieved that it is nothing life threatening (I guess) since all of my major organs have been looked at. But, after feeling great for so long and now to have these symptoms come back, it is so frustrating!

I have read other posts on here about gastroparesis, and am wondering if that could be what I have. I have read that endoscopies and other tests can come back normal with this.

Can anyone shed light on what this could be?

Re: Stomach Issues again...

Hi!

If you are worried about gastroparesis, you should ask your doctor to have a gastric emptying scan ran on you. It will tell you whether or not you have gastropareis.

Gastroparesis symptoms can be intermittment with some people (ie.. you can go weeks or months without symptoms, but have them return again), others have to live with it constantly day in and out.

I hope this helps and you feel better soon!
