Asthma or what? Doctor kinda blew me off

I have been walking at least 30 minutes per day-sometimes up to hour. Have lost 30 pounds and now in the process of decreasing my HBP pills from 40mg to 20mg.due to them making me hypotensive. Last month while walking briskly for about 30 minutes ( outside in the park-temp in the mid to upper 40's-breezy) I started wheezing, coughing and gasping for air. It was cool outside-and I did not have my face covered so I thought it might have been the cold. It again happened with the same weather conditions. I stopped taking my walks until I saw my doctor. I told her had happened-she kinda laughed and said I happens to her too and I should keep my face covered when walking in the cold air. I had my husband with me and he also confirmed I was gasping/wheezing/coughing for about 10-15 minutes and couldnt talk. She expalined this causes the bronchical to constrict similar to asthma- I told her I had Carpal Tunnel surgery end of Dec. -had an EKG and chest X-ray prior to surgery-I asked if something was wrong would it have shows-she listened to my lungs-had me take deep breaths and breathe out has hard as I can-her conclusion-my lungs were fine / clear and I didnt have asthma. I asked well when I walk again and this happens what am I to do-she stated she'll order an inhaler if I wanted and I could take a puff to help me breathe better. I'm 52 years old never had breathing problems what do you think? I dont want to take medication for something I dont have but then again I dont want to keep gasping for air after a walk. Second opinion? Get the inhaler? I have no experience with asthma -I do know someone I worked with -10 year old son died while having an asthma attack-the inhaler he was using was defective-showed it was full when in fact it wasnt. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

I would try the inhaler and see if it works for you, as well as get a second opinion. You need some form of answers as to what is going on with your body and if your doctor does not want to give it, go somewhere else that would. Always trust your gut feeling, especially when it comes to your health.
