can u get herpes on other areas of your body?

all of a sudden i woke up and after my shower i went to put deoderant on and noticed lots of red sore spots under my left arm. they look like acne with the white heads and such, but they really hurt and are spreading. ive never had body acne except for maybe one here and there, now theres a huge patch of sore spots. Can this be a form of herpes or could it be some random outbreak of acne? they sure hurt alot more than any pimples ive ever had b 4.

Seems like a pretty strange place to get h. It sounds more like a different kind of infection, bacterial perhaps. Go to a dr if you can, perhaps a dermatologist. I had an infection under my arm once that got so bad it knowcked me out, fever and all, and took a long time to clear up. If you can't go to a dr, or don't like going, see if you can find some comfrey root at an herb or health food store. Put a little on a plate, mix with a little warm water until it seems gelatinous; spread on a sterile 4x4, and tape it (with 1st aid tape) to your underarm. I also slept with a heating pad on low curled up under my arm. Good luck.

Not to scare you but I have had it almoes evrywhere insluding there. No don't be alarmed I am not a doctor and even if Ii was I don't know if I could tell you by just looking. But for me it did not really hurt that much but it did itch a lot. sometimes it sould be a little stinging but I was mostly itchy and it lookes like a rash. It left a discolored spot there which went away with e-oil that I put there after everythign dried up. hopr that helped but i would see a doctor or try garlic capsules.

you can get herpes anywhere, but I agree with backpacker. that would be a pretty odd place to get it. it could be some other infection. impetigo, for example, is a bacterial infection that looks very similar to herpes. good luck.
