Am I Pregnant or Not?

Ok, on 8/17, I had a positive HPT, although it was a very light result. On the 19th I had a very light result on a HPT at the doc's office. The doc thought I may have been 6 1/2 wks. judging from my last cycle. I followed up with a Beta HCG test that showed levels of 82. That night I started spotting and on the 21st I started a heavy flow (which lasted several days). On the 22nd, I went in for an ultrasound and there was nothing there (no sac, etc.) Thought I had miscarried. On the 24th, I had another blood test and the levels went up to 110, on the 29th, they more than doubled to 247. Is it possible to be in a very early pregnancy say 4 weeks or so and have bleed like I did? The doctor is sending me for another beta HCG test next week. I know that if I am now only 4 wks. or so pregnant than the ultrasound I did over a week ago would not have shown anything. I am very confused

you can still have a cycle right at the beginning. Has the doctor ruled out an ectopic pregnancy. if based on dates he thought you might be 6 1/2 weeks they should have seen at least a sac. But then again if that was wrong, it would have been too early. When are you supposed to go back and did he order any further tests like maybe another u/s?

The ectopic was ruled out on the ultrasound. The doc did order a Beta HCG for next week. I guess if I wasn't 6 1/2 weeks then but only maybe 3 weeks or so, then they wouldn't have seen anything on the u/s. Thanks for your reply.
