What is the best method for closing gap between front teeth years after braces?

Well...

My gap is back.

I got my braces off about five years ago. The orthodontist put a wire between my 2 front teeth to keep them closed. The wire kept breaking....eventually, I just stopped getting it fixed.

Now, I don't have dental insurance....but the gap between my 2 front teeth bothers me every time I look in the mirror.

It's only about 1mm...but I can notice it...and I've asked people who I'm close with their honest opinion...and they can notice it too.

What do I do? Has this happened to anyone?

I've heard to:

1) Get the bracket put back on
2) Get braces again (not an option)
3) Get my teeth built up?
4) Cap the gap in the teeth

What have you all hear? All help appreciated. Thanks.

I would not recommend to crown your front teeth or put veneers on them to cover the gap. It may appear to be a quick fix ( not cheap either), but basically you would be ruinning two perfectly healthy teeth and asking for more troubles down the road, for examples, costly replacements, cavity, root canal, etc..
