I have LPR /silent reflux..so I am not sure what foods are ok.

When I read about LPR on different webistes, it says to eat a low fat diet. Some people advise to eat a low carb diet, which is in conflict with a low fat diet.

I have silent reflux, so I have no idea what causes my acid reflux. Do pretzels and bread (both high in carbs) cause reflux?

I personally haven't experienced any problems with carbs. In fact, they seem to cause the least reflux of any foods that I eat. But everyone seems to be different and you may just need to experiment. The low-fat, high-carb, small-portion diet works best for me. My biggest reflux inducers are steak, mayonaise, anything deep-fried, chocolate, and coffee.

Thanks for the reply.

How do I tell what causes my reflux if it is silent? Have you heard of pasta causing reflux? Sometimes after I eat, I feel saliva in my throat. Am I mistaking the saliva for stomach acid. People say they can feel the acid coming up from their stomach. I have never experienced that.
