The Mckenzie method works for some. It depends 'which side' of your spine your disks are bulging, anterior, or posterior. It didn't work for me. My disks are bulging 'posterior' (to the back). If I do a 'cobra type of pose', which is the basis of most of his theory, the position, leaning backwards, puts pressure on the bulging disk and I feel more pain. The Mckenzie method teaches you to create a curve in the lower back and to maintain it. With my disk probem, my goal is to exercise to strengthen the muscles to keep my pelvic area neutral.
