Jaw pain already from Boniva?

I already posted that the Boniva that I took yesterday gave me a terrible headache. Last night, I was up at 2 am with terrible jaw pain! I took 3 extra strengh tylenol and after a long while, was able to go back to sleep. This morning my jaw on the left side is still aching a lot! I took Actonel for over 15 months, until I couldn't stand the back pain! (and I went from osteopenia to osteoporosis on Actonel!!!) I just google-searched and it said that Actonel, Boniva and Fosomax can cause jaw pain. I'm wondering if taking this 150mg Boniva is causing my jaw pain? (maybe the 15 months+ of Actonel is still in my system and also causing the jaw pain with the Boniva?) Anyone else have instant jaw pain just from one Boniva?
Thanks,
elphers

Re: Jaw pain already from Boniva?

I only knew that bone pain was listed as a side effect and then jaw necrosis. Does your jaw hurt continually, can you eat? I haven't started this therapy yet but the more I hear the less I want to use it. Let us know if this pain decreases as the month goes on.

Re: Jaw pain already from Boniva?

After only 2 Fosamax, I developed jaw pain. So I stopped taking it. It took close to a year for it to get better. My dentist couldn't find anything else wrong, and was aware of the problems that these meds "can" cause. Everyone on these drugs must inform their dentist before any major work.
