Hey Katt - checking in!

Hi there, thought I'd start a new thread

I'm glad your sticking to your schedule. I think its great if you can cut every few days. I was told to take it slower since I've been on it for so long..... You are just as anxious as I am to gett off of this junk! EVIL X!

I'm not doing too bad I guess! Although I've been distracted by some stupid heart/chest pain issues - went to the cardiologist today & I have a test next week.

He was happy to hear that I'm tapering off the xanax. My heart problems & being freaked out by it was how I got on xanax in the first place (he's not the one who rx'd it though.. that was a psychiatrist).

Anyway - I'm doing okay at 3/4 of a pill - spaced out 1/4 pill every few hours.

I actually slept about 8-9 hours last night!!

How about you, are you getting some sleep yet? I know you said you've had problems. How about your appetite ??

Take care - Hugs!! Jules

Re: Hey Katt - checking in!

Jules~

I forgot you mentioned that you have heart problems? Is that right?

I made my cut on Monday and it has been not so good, I am going to slow down or try other alternatives. I don't have a choice, I am pretty well non functioning these days.

I slept good 2 nights ago but last night was awful. Up at 4:45am, yuck!

My appetite is worse since the cut. I guess it will take months to get off 4 weeks of X use. I find that utterly ridiculous! But I have no choice.

How are you doing?

How long are you waiting before you make cuts? How much do you plan to cut at a time?

Take care and I hope your tests come out good!

Katt

Re: Hey Katt - checking in!

Hmmm, I posted a reply to you about 1/2 hour ago, and it's not here. I guess it might show up later (?)

Anyway, I am so sorry to hear you are not doing well Yeah, maybe you should take your cuts a bit slower. Believe me, I want to get off this stuff as quickly as possible too. If we can just keep our eyes on the prize - freedom from these pills - we eventually are going to be really happy. Hey, if we hadn't started tapering when we did, we'd be that much farther away from being done.

I saw a homeopathic MD in the summer, she had suggested that I try the amino acid L-Theanine to help me relax, and maybe it would help with getting off xanax. I never did try it - but maybe it's something to think about. She is an M.D., so I'm assuming it is safe to use with Xanax. But I'm no expert.

I slept like crap last night. So I feel your pain.

My plan is to cut 1/4 of a pill every 8-10 days. So right now I'm at 3/4 of a pill.. and plan to try & cut next week again.

Thanks for the well wishes about my tests. Yeah, I have some stupid heart problems - arrythmia, and some chest pains. I'm too young for this But I look forward to having a clean, xanax free body again in order to treat everything else properly.

Take care Katt!! Remember that I'm going through this with you... you have a Xanax Quit Buddy right here
