birth controllll HELP!

i started birth control the day after my 6week pp appt. I told my dr. that i was still bleeding slightly but he informed me that it was fine to start taking the pill. I wasn't sure if the bleeding i had was the start of my period or just pp bleeding because at times it was red and heavy (sorry TMI) So about a day or 2 days after taking the pill i started bleeding heavyy like it was deff. my period. i thought i wasn't suppose to get it until i was done with the active pills.
I heard that it will take my body a while to adjust to the pill and getting my period back and all but i dont know if i should just stop taking the pill.. and continue or what.
any of you ladies experience this?

i was told not to stop taking the pill no matter what.. but am i gonna get my period again after i finish the active pills?

ARGH so confusedd.. any advice?

Keep taking the pills... and use another form of birth control until your cycle is regulated.

i experienced the same thing..well i had REALLY bad postpartum bleeding and i got on birth control and it made it worse. i bled for probably 2 months..maybe even longer after i started the pill..my doctor said it could be "breakthrough bleeding"...something people get when you start birth control..it can last up to 3 months..but he was worried about me needing a D&C and had me skip the inactive pills for a while since i lost so much blood..actually i havent even had my period since before i had DS! so yes it is normal to bleed after starting the pill..but dont stop taking them..your body will eventually adjust and go back to normal.
