Natural Healing/Remedy for gall bladder problems

I am scheduled to have my gall bladder taken out on May 8. My EF was 16% on the HIDA scan. I was also told from my ultrasound that it didn't show any signs of stones. I won't go into details about my symptoms b/c they're the same as most of the people on here. I'm just wondering if any of you have tried any type of natural healing before going the surgery route?

I ask this b/c my hubby was at the chiropractor today and he insisted that I should see a natural healing specialist and that should could definately fix the problem. My question was, i she can definately fix the problem, then why don't traditional doctors use it???

Re: Natural Healing/Remedy for gall bladder problems

Would you mind illustrating your symptoms of gallbladder problems. I have been trying to determine the cause of my problems and would like to read your symptoms. Thanks. And re the natural route, I hope someone gives their opinion about this because I feel doctors only know heavy drugs and surgery - nothing in between.

Re: Natural Healing/Remedy for gall bladder problems

I've had terrible nausea, pain in the middle of the upper stomach area, pain and pressure in the chest area (left, right and middle), pain in the upper back area (both sides), headaches, dizziness and I always feels like someone has punched me in the stomach, knocking the wind out of me.

I had the Hida scan done a few weeks ago and it showed my ejection fraction ratio was only 16%, so my dr referred me to a surgeon b/c he said it was not working and would need to be removed. I had no stones at the time of the ultrasound 2 years ago.

Yes, I'm hoping someone can give me some information about other alternatives too. My hubby was telling me all this stuff last night and now I'm second guessing having the surgery. I am so tired of being sick, I just want to be healthy again.

Re: Natural Healing/Remedy for gall bladder problems

Thanks for replying. I have to ask what PPI's are? And, what are gallbladder motility problems?

My pain and discomfort is on a daily basis, however (fortunately) not all day long. I'm been lucky enough that I'm not totally wiped out. I'm still able to take care of my 4 kids and do some of my regular things, although I don't feel very wel doing them.

Re: Natural Healing/Remedy for gall bladder problems

Thanks for clarifying that. I don't think that would have effected my ratio since I wasn't taking anything at the time. Since they originally thought my problem was acid reflux, I tried Aciphex, Nexium, Protonix, Prilosec, Zantac and a few more OTC meds and none made me feel any better. I think that's what made the dr think that something else was going on instead of reflux. Even though greasy foods don't agree with me, I don't notice any relation between regular healthy foods and my symptoms. They happen no matter what I eat.
