Oh Boy! New Labs New Problems... Need Help Once Again.

Hello everyone~

Well I went for my routine blood work last week and just got results today and they are not good.

Just a little repeat of my history.

DX'd with Graves
Tried anti-thyroid meds. Didn't work. Bad reaction to them.
RAI in Feb
Hypo in April
Started on 0.05MG Levothyroxine on 4/18

New labs on 5/11 come in as

TSH 25.6 (0.40-5.50)
FT4 0.6 ( 0.8-??)

Anyways my symptoms are HORRID. I can hardly walk my back hurts soooo bad with headaches, foggy brain, lightheaded, feeling like I am going to pass out, chest pressure/pain, shortness of breath is back as well. Boo hoo.. Pains in arms, and hands, as well as muscle twitching, numbness etc, etc...

This whole thing is getting more and more depressing. I don't know what to do right now I feel so badly. And to top it off I have to drive my mother to her dr's appt tomorrow and I don't feel like even moving out of my own bed. Uggg... And her appt is about a 20 min drive one way. NOT looking forward to going. Especially with the lightheadedness feeling I have. ANd oh yea did I mention the ANXIETY is also sticking it's ugly head back into my head!?! HELLPPP.... LOL...

Believe me, I KNOW exactly how you feel! That's how I feel everyday, BUT my levels stay pretty much in range. YOURS are definitely hypo!!!! I bet you are ready(mentally and physically) for your increase in dose!!

Question: The lightheadedness and feeling like you're going to pass out, is that new for you, or did you have it with your Grave's before treatment??

Hi katkatdd,

Looks like you've done gone hypo. I'm sorry that you're feeling the way you are. Kinda stinks after having to go thru the hyper and then being slammed face first down on to the floor. Sometimes, I think that hurts even worse than falling gently. They used to do that to me with the anti-thyroid meds a lot and I agree, it is horrid.

Anybody mention a raise in your Levothyroxine? It seems like that would be very appropriate.

Hope you get to feeling better real soon.

hugs,
Helen

Wow - you are really hypo - bet that does stink. Can't even imagine what your feeling like right now - I mean a few words come to mind - but when I saw your numbers - I had to write and say "I am sorry" - What level do they have you on and did they increase it? Please say they increased your meds or suggested a change or something? Hugs to you - super big hugs.

Re: Oh Boy! New Labs New Problems... Need Help Once Again.

Thank-x everyone!!

No increase yet. THe nurse said she would put the results on Dr's desk. So hopefully he will call or something because my appt with him isn't until the 25th. And I think I need an increase ASAP. Or something ASAP anyways. LOL.

As far as the lightheadedness I think it is a new feeling. I mean I might have always been kind of spacey but the sensation of almost passing out is FOR SURE new! I had one of those episodes this morning and another one the other day. But the general lightheaded feeling is pretty much there all the time since going HYPO.

I also have degenerative disc disease in my cervical spine ( neck area) so I thought at first maybe I was having the dizzy spells because of neck. My neck has also been really bothering me. And it seemed like if I moved my head to quickly to one side or the other I would become even more dizzy. But NOW with seeing my numbers where they are at I am thinking it is all this HYPO mess...
