What is it about the 10th day after the start of my period?

Does anyone know what exactly goes on 10 days after the first day of a period? Any symptoms I have (mostly nausea, but sometimes soreness in my lower abdomen) always seems to occur 10 days after the first day of my period. Isn't this too early for ovulation? For the past three days, I have had nausea, which I hadn't had for a while. Sure enough, when I checked the calendar, it started 10 days after the first day of my period (which really are only lasting 3 -4 days now). It is making me NUTS. The nausea is the worst symptom I have experienced with the whole Peri thing, and it is the most debilitating, IMHO. Can anyone shed any light on this "magic 10th day"????

Re: What is it about the 10th day after the start of my period?

I also have the nausea. I have it about 1 week after my period begins. Around the 8th day or so, my period lasts about 3 days. I never had nausea before. It is horrible. i wake up with it and if I decide to take something (ativan) it passes. I can have it for a week and then goes away. yes, a symptom of peri. Aren't we so lucky. alyce
