brain fog/inability to concentrate with Hyperthyroid

Just when i thought that the worst symptom was the redness in my eyes from graves, i noticed that im kind of heaving difficulties to concentrate or to keep the concentration... Im a hyperthyroid, but my blood tests came up to be normal, and even though the CT scan indicated that i have a mild thyroid problem , and i do have all the symptoms of Hyperthyroid , the endo doesnt do want to do anything because of the blood tests that are normal, so i asked to get transfered to a different endo , and it will take time again.
I beleive my levels are pretty close to normal , but far enough from normal to give me Hyperthyroid's symptoms , so i hope once im on meds its gonna be better, will the concentration problem get better once im on meds? anybody else is having this problem and wants to share his/hers experience with it?
Thanks.

Re: brain fog/inability to concentrate with Hyperthyroid

I can't concentrate worth a darn when I'm hyper. To me, that's one of the worst symptoms. It's like the thoughts are going so fast thru the brain you just can't grab hold of em fast enough to finish anything. I end up trying to do the same thing over and over again. I'm normally a great multi tasker. When I get too hyper, I pretty much cease to function.

When the hypers under control, things get a lot better. There is hope. In the meantime, hang in there and write yourself a lot of notes.

Oh yeah, I couldn't remember what anybody was saying right after they said it, it was like my mind was on vacation and forgot me! I forgot words, I thought I had early dementia or something. I'm much better but sometimes I still do it. I was stuttering a little too, it was so weird,I knew SOMETHING was out of whack. What were your lab results?
