I heard that if you have 5 consecutive flu shots that it increases your chance of alzheimers by 10 times!!! What do you think? True?

Some flu shots contain thimersol or mercury and mercury is a highly toxic metal that does not belong in the body. Many with have alzhemiers have high levels of mercury in the body, so some believe that may be the cause. My view is yes, I believe it could very well be the cause and there is a root to every problem. A person can get all the flu shots they want, but if they are not healthy and supply their body with the vitamins and minerals they need to fight off sickness, yes they will get sick anyways. It is much better to build up your immune system naturally. The flu shot contains many chemicals which in turn lower your immune system so it really does not make sense to me.

It's a bit confusing. I read that information about Alzheimer's risk being increased "by 10 times". But then there was a statement saying that there is no definite proof. Elsewhere, I found a statement saying that the amount of mercury in a flu shot is very small....about the same amount as that found in a can of tuna.

I have gone for several years without a flu shot and never got the flu. But then there were a couple of times when I got the flu shot and got the flu anyway. That's strange.

But here's a word of caution from something I read just yesterday: (not an exact quote) As people age,their lung capacity decreases which makes it more and more difficult to cough up phlegm. So I think the idea is: If you can't get phlegm up and out, you run the risk of serious life-threatening complications, like pneumonia. (The book title was: The End of Aging)

Mercury is not something that just leaves the body, so when we are vaccinated as children and then if you get the "recommended" flu shot every year think about how much mercury just from vaccinations you are putting into the body. This doesn't include other sources like mercury silver fillings which release bits of mercury daily. The body is not meant to have this in it, it is a neurotoxin, so common sense tells me to not put it in my body or my daughter's body. It lowers your immune system. There is never any proof to back uo anything because big pharma doesn't want the proof out there. If doctors were up front about all chemicals in vaccines and they told the patient what each one is, most people would probably not get vaccinated. It boils down to power/control and money. Ever wonder why no one tells you to eat right anymore? That vitamins and minerals are essential to our health and that chemicals are detrimental to our health? Instead we are heavily advertised to: Get your flu shot today! Everyone is recommended to get them! It will PROTECT you! lol (rolling my eyes)

I got my flu shot a few days ago. That was the day I first posted here. When I got my shot I asked the nurse if it had mercury in it but she didn't know. She gave me a few pages of printed information and it included a toll free number for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

I called the CDC and got some interesting information: I was told that the type of mercury that's in the vaccine (Ethyl mercury) does not accumulate in the body. And the amount that was in my shot was very small: .25mcg. So there's no problem for the body to clean it out, by way of the liver.

Not satisfied with just one source, I decided to call my local health department: I talked to a nurse in the imunization department and she verified that information. She said: "Ethyl mercury does not accumulate in the body."
