On the other side, live with a bipolar

Hello, I'm a newbie and already screwed up by posting under the bipolar board, real smart, right? I was just hoping there are others out there who understand of what I meant by living on the other side with a bipolar.

I need to know that how I feel is normal also. It's like you stand still and watch the other go around and around. My household environment changes from day to day. It's sad when I would rather be at work instead of being at home. I guess I'm just stating being in the other shoe is not the greatest either. I'm at the point I need to vent without insulting anybody or loved ones.

Thanks for whoever takes the time to read and responds.

Re: On the other side, live with a bipolar

Disasterous, yes...relationship (marriage 18 yrs.) is constantly "work in progress". The wind can blow and the whole entire household is affected. A lot of patience is needed. Regarding children, 12 yrs. & 8 yrs...I just hope they do not have bipolar. They just have learned to "tune out" dad for the most part. Both dad and kids have missed out, disappointment. Jealously because children are closer to me and will talk to me and not dad when they have a problem or something exciting to share.

I joke with myself and say I did not sign up for this and I know people with bipolar certainly did not either. I guess this is what was dealt to us?
