horseshoe kidney

Hello. I am new to this board. I was having an ultrasound due to abdominal pain and in the process they discovered that I have a horseshoe kidney. It turned into a three ring circus. Everyone was coming into the room to look at this horseshoe kidney. Does anyone know anything about this "condition"? Thanks in advance, Janet
